Privacy at FCi

This notice explains how FCi handles information when you browse this website, request commercial guidance, or continue to secure checkout.

Information FCi handles

When you submit a commercial inquiry, FCi receives the contact, company, project, product selection, and consent information you provide. FCi uses it to review your request, contact you through your preferred method, and provide a submission confirmation.

The website and its hosting provider also process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. This can include timestamps, requested pages, browser and device information, network-address information, and standard hosting logs. Short-lived, one-way values derived from network information may be used to limit form abuse.

How FCi uses information

FCi uses information from this website to:

• respond to inquiries and provide product, quotation, and project guidance;
• process customer-requested transactions and provide support;
• secure the website, limit abuse, and maintain reliable delivery;
• keep appropriate operational records and meet legal obligations; and
• measure delivered commercial inquiries only as described below.

FCi does not sell commercial inquiry information.

Customer support chat

The Rocket.Chat customer support widget loads when you visit this website. The service hosted at chat.geeplant.ca receives technical information needed to provide the widget, including browser, device, network-address and the URLs and titles of pages you visit. If you use chat, the messages and contact details you choose to provide are sent to that service so FCi can respond and provide support. The website does not automatically attach your quote list, inquiry form details or payment information to a chat. Do not send payment-card details or other sensitive information in chat.

Online checkout

Stripe provides the secure payment page. Before opening it, FCi validates the Canadian destination province or territory and postal code you enter and sends the selected product configurations, quantities, and transaction information needed for checkout. FCi does not copy that postal code into its local order records. Stripe securely collects the full shipping address and payment-card details, which are subject to Stripe's privacy practices.

Advertising measurement

FCi may use its existing Google Ads tag on approved catalogue, product, manual, and contractor pages. Unless you turn the setting off, the tag starts in consent mode with advertising storage, advertising user data, personalization, and analytics storage denied. Google may receive a limited cookieless page-visit signal. FCi also keeps the approved campaign and click parameters in this browser tab for up to 24 hours so they can survive navigation to the inquiry form.

If the setting remains on when you submit an inquiry, Google may then store limited advertising identifiers. After FCi confirms successful inquiry delivery, the website may send Google only the submission reference as a conversion. Your name, contact details, project information, selected models, and message are not sent to Google. Turning the setting off clears the saved FCi campaign and click parameters and FCi-related Google Ads identifiers where your browser permits.

Service providers and processing

Information is limited to FCi personnel and providers that need it for the purposes above. These providers can include Render for website hosting, Resend and Google Workspace for business email, Stripe for checkout, and Google for the limited advertising measurement described above. Some providers may process information outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

Retention and safeguards

Inactive or unconverted commercial inquiry information is kept for no more than 24 months after the last meaningful contact. Active quotations, projects, customer records, legal holds, disputes, and records FCi must keep by law follow the applicable operational or legal period. Service providers may keep their own operational records under their policies and legal obligations.

FCi uses administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information, including restricted access, encrypted transport, validation, abuse controls, and controlled email delivery. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask FCi for access to or correction of personal information it holds about you, withdraw consent for future uses where consent applies, or make a privacy complaint. FCi may need to verify your identity and may be subject to legal or contractual limits.
